As if the region of Alsace didn’t already have enough with its beautiful landscapes and medieval villages, it also grows some of the best white grapes in the industry. Its famous wine route stretches over 75 miles from Thann to Marlenheim, and is unmatched by any other. Visitors can discover the wine-making villages of Dambach-la-Ville, Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg, Hunawihr and Colmar, whose streets are packed with family bodegas where an evening of tasting goes deliciously with dishes of the distinctive local cuisine.
