Where should you have brunch in Montpellier?
MUCHACHA: a perch for brunch in Montpellier
Perched on the rooftop of Les Halles, at the famous Marché du Lez market, Muchacha is an ideal spot to have brunch in Montpellier. If the weather’s good, you can enjoy the terrace and its beautiful décor! Brunch is currently EUR 25 per person, and it’s quite comprehensive. It’s only served on Sundays from 11.30 am to 3 p.m., so you should make a reservation directly through its website.

- By car: There’s a large free parking area behind the market. Otherwise, there is a paid car park across the street.
- By public transport: Tram no. 3 stops before the market, at the PABLO PICASSO stop.

NAPOLEON DYNAMITE: BRUNCH IN MONTPELLIER’S CITY CENTRE
A small coffee shop with a terrace on place de la Canourgue in Montpellier. There is no set brunch, but the regular menu with extras to choose from. Good news: breakfast and brunch are served every day, with no need to book in advance!
- Address: 5, Place de la Canourgue, 34000 Montpellier
- By car: Parking Montpellier’s city centre is a bit difficult, but if you’re able of finding a place outside, it’s free on Sundays. Otherwise, there are several paid car parks nearby: FOCH, COMEDIE, ARC DE TRIOMPHE. Easy to find on Google Maps.
- By public transport: Much simpler than by car. The closest tramway stops are: COMEDIE for tramway no 1. and PEYROU – ARC DE TRIOMPHE from trams nos. 3 and 4.

LE PROSE: BRUNCH BY THE SEASIDE NEAR MONTPELLIER
A musical atmosphere with DJ, swimming pool, and a quality brunch! It’s the best brunch by the seaside, near the La Grande Motte spa. The brunch is very varied – the menu changes often and you can enjoy the swimming pool in the summer. Sunday brunch is EUR 25 per person.
- Address: 277 Allée du Vaccarès 34280 La Grande-Motte
- By car: Head towards the beach, 25 minutes from Montpellier’s city centre.
- By public transport: It’s rather difficult to find public transport here. You can take a bus, but you may have to walk a bit to get there!

MA PREMIERE CANTINE: BRUNCH THAT WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO YOUR CHILDHOOD
You can indulge in this brunch served in two restaurants in Montpellier, in the city centre and in the Odysseum shopping centre. The choice is up to you! Its country bread with spreads and soft-boiled eggs will take you back to childhood. EUR 23 per person on weekends and bank holidays, 10 am to 5 pm. Perfect for sleep-ins!
- Address: Centre Commercial Odysseum & Place Jean Jaurès in Montpellier’s city centre.
- By car: Reaching Odysseum is easy – the shopping centre is at the East exit on the motorway. There are several parking areas, free for two hours. It’s a bit hard to reach place Jean Jaurès by car. The closest car parks are PREFECTURE and COMEDIE.
- By public transport: You can reach Odysseum on tramway line 1 – it’s the final stop. The closest stop to place Jean Jaurès is COMEDIE.

LE MELICE: A VARIED BRUNCH IN PORT MARIANNE, MONTPELLIER’S CHIC DISTRICT
Eggs Benedict, French toast, and pancakes. There are 2 brunch menus, including sweet and savoury dishes and drinks: a EUR 23.50 menu, including 2 savoury dishes, and a EUR 28 menus, including 3 savoury dishes. Brunch is served on Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm. You (really) need to make a reservation directly on its website.
- Address: 216 Rue Elie Wiesel Bassin Jacques Cœur – Port Marianne
- By car: The restaurant is on Bassin Jacques Cœur, east of Montpellier. There are not many places to park outside, so head to the “La Mantilla” car park – rates are affordable.
- By public transport: The closest tramway stops are PORT MARIANNE lines 1 and 3 and PABLO PICASSO line 3.

AMAZONE COFFEE: A BRUNCH ON WHICH EVERYONE AGREES IN MONTPELLIER’S CITY CENTRE
Avocado toasts, bowls… This little café is really nice. Reservations are not accepted, so you’ll have to wait to be seated. You can have brunch there Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 3 pm. There’s a lunch menu and a brunch menu for about twenty euros.

- By car: The closest car park, and the one easiest to reach, is COMEDIE.
- By public transport : The closest tramway stop is OBSERVATOIRE, lines 3 and 4.

JOY HEALTHY FOOD: HEALTHY, VEGAN, AND GLUTEN-FREE BRUNCH IN MONTPELLIER’S CITY CENTRE
A great destination for vegans and/or the gluten-free. Moreover, the Sunday brunch is a free buffet for EUR 32. There are two time slots: 11 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 3.30 pm. We strongly recommend booking in advance! The rest of the week, you can also have breakfast, a EUR 28 brunch menu without free buffet, or lunch. They also offer yoga classes!

- By car: The café is just by Amazone Coffee, so the closest car park, and the one easiest to reach, is COMEDIE.
- By public transport : The closest tramway stop is OBSERVATOIRE, lines 3 and 4.
