Canoeing down the Sella River

If you’re looking for good doses of adventure here in Asturias you will find a large offering that will bring you into nature. One of the most popular ones, for both kids as well as adults, is going down the Sella River in a canoe. This classic route is somewhere between 10 to 15 kilometres long and you can choose to start from the launch ramp, which is like a fun slide for boats.

During the summer months it is quite common to see the river populated with canoes of all colours and everyone enjoying themselves nicely. If you want to take a break and have a snack you may do so, for example, by the shore next to the Toraño bridge. Be prepared to enjoy a spectacular scenery and practise your paddle mastery.
