Summer in Asturias is full of music, festivity and spectacle. This ‘Natural Paradise’ offers visitors who love these cultural activities an extensive schedule of festivals, specialising in different music genres and taking place in various parts of the region of Asturias.
Lev Festival
The LEV Festival will be held for the eighteenth time this year, from 1 to 5 of May in Gijón, with its venues including the Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura. The four-day programme is staged in different spaces in the city, with a line-up of local, national and international artists, where concerts and audiovisual performances will be the star features. This event specialises in electronic sound experimentation and contemporary audiovisual and digital creation.
Reggaeton Beach Festival
The Reggaeton Beach Festival is one of the largest urban music festivals held in Spain. This year, over the weekend of 27 and 28 of July 2024 in the city of Avilés, you can enjoy some great acts such as Anuel AA, El Alfa and Maria Becerra.
Metrópoli Gijón
Between 28 of June and 7th of July 2024, Metrópoli Gijón will once again be offering a great programme of pop and rock, as well as all kinds of cultural activities, including some interesting exhibitions.
Boombastic
Urban music, pop, indie and electronic music are the cornerstones of this new festival, which also has an area for daytime activities and fashion shows.
From 18 to 20 of July 2024, Llanera will be hosting the third Boombastic. The festival, that will be held in the grounds of La Morgal recreational area, has increased its capacity and it will have a camping area.
Boombastic has already revealed its full line-up, featuring acts such as Black Eyed Peas, Manuel Turizo and Lola Índigo, among others. However, to keep you guessing, they’ve left one artist unconfirmed, the ‘surprise act’.
Tsunami
Gijón will be treating punk-rock fans to a series of concerts on 19, 20 and 21 of July. 2024 The line-up for Tsunami has already been announced and in total, more than 35 bands will be coming to the Parque Hermanos Castro this summer.
Prestoso Fest
Those who prefer indie music can enjoy a festival in August that is perhaps not so well known: the Prestoso Fest. This festival will take place on 1, 2 and 3 of August 2024 in Las Barzaniellas, just 2.5km from Cangas del Narcea. Some of the artists have now been confirmed.
Aquasella
On 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 of August, Arriondas, in the east of Asturias, will be opening its doors to all techno lovers. The line-up for Aquasella, yet to be finalised, has already caught the attention of many followers of a festival that is by now a classic in the genre.
Riverland
Riverland Festival is an indie festival, first held in 2019, that takes place in Arriondas. Here you can enjoy the best music of the indie, pop and rock genres, as well as the best urban music, all against the backdrop of a place of unique natural beauty on the banks of the most symbolic river in Asturias, the Sella.
Following the large number of festivalgoers last year, Riverland will take place again on 23, 24 and 25th of August.
