Encajado alrededor de los muros del jard\u00edn barroco, y atisbando por encima de limoneros, cactus y jazmines se encuentra un <strong>popurr\u00ed de bizarras esculturas de piedra<\/strong>. Los visitantes acuden en masa al tour de rigor para ver el circo freak de <strong>Villa Palagonia<\/strong>: enanos jorobados, duendes con m\u00faltiples ojos, querubines con el ce\u00f1o fruncido y fant\u00e1sticas criaturas deformes: una creaci\u00f3n de pesadilla del antiguo due\u00f1o de la <strong>villa italiana<\/strong>, un pr\u00edncipe desfigurado que fue encarcelado por demencia. <\/p>\n<p>Tan horripilante es la apariencia de las caricaturas, que las mujeres embarazadas de la zona sol\u00edan evitar mirarlas por miedo a que su influencia pudiera deformar a los ni\u00f1os que estaban por venir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Es f\u00e1cil entender c\u00f3mo Villa Palagonia, muy cerca de Palermo, se ha ganado el apodo de la \u201cVilla de los Monstruos\u201d.
