There are no less than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nantes-tourisme.com\/en\/museums-nantes\" target=\"_blank\">five metropolitan museums<\/a>. Twelve other private and public museums have just added themselves to the list in the area. Needless to say, there is something for everyone, to pass the time and you&#8217;ll definitely find your happy place. I&#8217;ve lived in Nantes for several years and I have still never found the time to visit them all but I&#8217;m sharing <strong>my best picks and some good plans on getting the most out of the museums in Nantes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>5 museums to visit in Nantes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chateaunantes.fr\/en\/event\/musee-dhistoire-de-nantes\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Mus\u00e9e d\u2019histoire de la ville au ch\u00e2teau<\/em><\/strong><\/a><em>:<\/em> To learn everything about Nantes, its past and periods of time that have shaped the city we know today.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.museum.nantes.fr\/pages\/00-introduction\/page1.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Natural History Museum\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><strong>: <\/strong>This museum has very pretty collections: skeletons, wood species, minerals,&#8230; the building in itself really deserves the detour. Vintage and very authentic, you&#8217;ll be charmed by its <em>&#8216;cabinet of curiosities&#8217;.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maisondulacdegrandlieu.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Maison du lac de Grand-Lieu<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> You have to go a little outside of Nantes to see this, but this place will enable you to understand the biggest plain lake in France, in winter. The visit concludes at the perfumer Guerlain&#8217;s hunting lodge, guarantee you&#8217;ll be awestruck by the view!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museedartsdenantes.nantesmetropole.fr\/en\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Arts de Nantes<\/em><\/strong> <\/a><strong>:<\/strong> It was reopened in 2017 after several years of renovation work. Here we can discover 12,000 ancient and contemporary pieces in a stunning setting. There are also temporary exhibitions that are regularly renewed.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chateaudegoulaine.fr\/english-informations\/opening-hours-admission-prices\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Ch\u00e2teau de la Goulaine\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/a><em>:<\/em> Visiting a castle is always nice, especially when it houses the LU confectionary museum, this really is worth a little detour.
