{"id":7851,"date":"2018-07-25T13:53:53","date_gmt":"2018-07-25T11:53:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/?post_type=inspiracion&p=7851"},"modified":"2018-10-15T13:54:18","modified_gmt":"2018-10-15T11:54:18","slug":"camino-del-norte-and-camino-lebaniego","status":"publish","type":"inspiracion","link":"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/en\/cities\/cantabria\/camino-del-norte-and-camino-lebaniego\/","title":{"rendered":"Camino del norte and camino lebaniego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cantabria is the only region in Spain with <strong>two World Heritage pilgrimage routes: The Camino del Norte and the Camino Lebaniego. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cantabria is home to the section of the Camino de Santiago known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caminolebaniego.com\/camino-del-norte\/el-camino-del-norte-en-cantabria\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Camino del Norte<\/strong><\/a> (or &#8220;Northern Way&#8221;). It&#8217;s thought to be the first route used by pilgrims to reach the tomb of Saint James, making it the oldest of the Santiago routes. Its journey through Cantabria runs from Ont\u00f3n to Unquera, passing through iconic locations such as Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Santo\u00f1a, Santander, Santillana del Mar, Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the Camino del Norte, Cantabria has its own pilgrimage route: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caminolebaniego.com\/camino-lebaniego\/descripcion-de-etapas\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Camino Lebaniego<\/strong><\/a>.
