{"id":7836,"date":"2018-07-25T13:44:23","date_gmt":"2018-07-25T11:44:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/?post_type=inspiracion&p=7836"},"modified":"2021-05-28T19:23:09","modified_gmt":"2021-05-28T17:23:09","slug":"surfing","status":"publish","type":"inspiracion","link":"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/en\/cities\/cantabria\/surfing\/","title":{"rendered":"Surfing in Cantabria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cantabria boasts the perfect conditions for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turismodecantabria.com\/disfrutala\/surf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>surfing.<\/strong><\/a> It&#8217;s easy to take up this sport in our region thanks to the conditions in the sea, which laps at more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turismodecantabria.com\/disfrutala\/playas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>90 beaches on the coast<\/strong><\/a>, as well as the region&#8217;s excellent surf schools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cantabria is the birthplace of surfing in Spain.<\/strong> It&#8217;s thanks to this status that our region has three Surf Reserves. The first was <strong>Ribamont\u00e1n al Mar<\/strong>, whose beaches and shoals made it the first municipality in Spain to enjoy this protected status. It was emulated by another two reserves, with long surfing histories: <strong>Suances and Noja<\/strong>.
