At around 300 meters high, it is Athens\u2019 highest mount. You can either climb it on foot or you have the nice option of the cable car that departs from Ploutarchou street and takes you to the top. The views, as you might imagine, are lovely: the sea on one side, and the majestic Acropolis on the other. You can even grasp views of the Saronic Gulf. <\/p>\n<p>On the top, you will find the small chapel of Agios Georgios, with its interior lightened by an abundance of candles left here by the Athenians together with their wishes and prayers. You\u2019ll want to close your eyes and feel for a second the peace and calmness of this place.
