There&#8217;s also fishing, snorkelling and other sea sports. And <strong>walking or running<\/strong> along the island\u2019s countless trails.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Where&#8217;s the best place for reading a book and going for a quick swim?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My personal recommendation would be Famara. The north of the island is untamed and has a unique energy, perfect for switching off and enjoying a good read.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"VACI\u0301AME EL MOMENTO - MARU CABRERA (En Vivo)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jg22zxPXHqg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Foodwise, what is a typical island dish to try?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we are talking about fish: <em>sancocho canario <\/em>(salted fish). As for meat: <em>carne de cabra compuesta<\/em> (goat casserole). The soup dish would be a <em>caldo<\/em> (broth) with millet or wheat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Are there any bars for savouring a good regional wine?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a number of wineries in the area around La Geria where you can sample delicious wines and take in the volcanic vineyard landscape (unique in the world).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Which club or concert hall would you recommend for a night out and a little dancing?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You should try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccmarinalanzarote.com\/portfolio_page\/la-grulla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Grulla<\/a>. A venue in the island&#8217;s capital (Arrecife), featuring a variety of music and alternative concert proposals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Which of Lanzarote&#8217;s villages should an art or architecture lover visit?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this sense, Lanzarote is a must- from north to south. All its towns and villages have their own architectural charm. They shouln\u2019t miss Har\u00eda, La Villa de Teguise, Tinajo or Yaiza.
