Tickets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As for <strong>ticket prices<\/strong>, it all depends on the season and the type of ticket you choose. In fact, you can include visits to places like the town hall, called the <strong>Palazzo Vecchio<\/strong>, or the <strong>Boboli Gardens<\/strong> all in the cost of your ticket.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full-price ticket: 26 euros<\/li>\n<li>The 39 euro ticket also includes admission for 5 consecutive days to the Boboli Gardens, the Pitti Palace, the National Archaeological Museum and the Opificio delle Pietre Dure Museum. It also gives you priority access. <\/li>\n<li>Admission to the museum is free for those under 18 (proof of identity required) and other categories that you can consult <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uffizi.it\/pagine\/biglietto-gratuito-ridotto-ingresso%23gratuito.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Uffizi: when is it free?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You can enter the museum for free on the following dates:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>25 April<\/li>\n<li>2 June<\/li>\n<li>4 November <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And thanks to the \u201c<strong>Sundays at the Museum<\/strong>\u201d initiative, you can enter <strong>the Uffizi for free<\/strong> on the first Sunday of the month. The small boats take off from the riverfront right below the Uffizi.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Partenza-gite-in-barca--768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"gite in barca firenze\" class=\"wp-image-23455\" srcset=\"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Partenza-gite-in-barca--768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Partenza-gite-in-barca--225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Partenza-gite-in-barca--1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Partenza-gite-in-barca-.jpg 1350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>If you get hungry, near the Uffizi Gallery is the <strong>famous Via dei Neri<\/strong>, a street full of trattorias, restaurants, sandwich shops and also the historical home of one of the world&#8217;s most famous and beloved \u201cschiacciaterias\u201d: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allanticovinaio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">All\u2019Antico Vinaio.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re gluten-free like me, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sgranoglutenfree.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Sgrano<\/em><\/a> is the best gluten-free place in Florence, with restaurants in Via dei Neri 49 (for the famous \u201cschiacciatine\u201d flatbread sandwiches) and in Via dei Benci (for the \u201costeria\u201d, a wine bar serving exceptional first and second courses that are always gluten-free).<\/p>\n<p>Another fascinating aspect of Florence that many tourists don&#8217;t know about are the <strong>Tower Houses<\/strong>. In the Middle Ages, there were as many as 160\u00a0 and up to 65 metres tall.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Case-torri-a-Firenze-1.jpg\" alt=\"case torri firenze\" class=\"wp-image-23459\" srcset=\"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Case-torri-a-Firenze-1.jpg 750w, https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Case-torri-a-Firenze-1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>They had been built by the city&#8217;s wealthiest and most important families and were connected internally with the main house. These tower houses consisted of one room per floor, with the kitchen on top and a storeroom\/pantry space in the basement.<\/p>\n<p>Today you can see some of these beautiful <strong>towers<\/strong> in a small neighbourhood near the Uffizi, in Via dei Cerchi and Borgo San Jacopo. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other museums worth visiting in Florence<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If art is your passion, you\u2019ll find the world&#8217;s most famous works in Florence. So don&#8217;t limit yourself to only visiting the Uffizi.
