{"id":22579,"date":"2023-06-09T15:27:35","date_gmt":"2023-06-09T15:27:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/?post_type=inspiracion&#038;p=22579"},"modified":"2024-07-08T16:18:46","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T16:18:46","slug":"interview-michelle-les-garcons","status":"publish","type":"inspiracion","link":"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/en\/cities\/nantes\/interview-michelle-les-garcons\/","title":{"rendered":"Michelle &#038; les Gar\u00e7ons, a new pop-rock band from Nantes!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On 5 April, Volotea launched the \u201cVolotea Music Fest\u201d, an eclectic free festival in the heart of Nantes to celebrate the milestone of carrying 50 million passengers with the inhabitants of the company\u2019s historic home town. <\/h5>\n<p>More than 1000 people attended the show at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stereolux.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Le Stereolux<\/a> to dance and sing along to the rhythms of acts including Ben L&#8217;Oncle Soul, Solar Project, VAPA, SAMIFATI and Michelle &amp; Les Gar\u00e7ons. <\/p>\n<p>We took this opportunity to touch base with Michelle &amp; les Gar\u00e7ons, a new band from the Nantes region you&#8217;re guaranteed to like!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hi, Michelle &amp; les Gar\u00e7ons, thanks for taking up our invitation to the Volotea Music Fest! This is our chance to tell our readers and Volotea travellers all about you. Could you briefly introduce yourselves?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Louise :<\/strong> We&#8217;re an indie pop group, with a strong 80s influence, and we&#8217;ve been around for about a year and a half. There are three of us in the group. I\u2019m Louise, the singer. Then there\u2019s Axel on drums and Hugo on guitar, bass and keyboards. And we&#8217;re called Michelle &amp; les Gar\u00e7ons because Michelle is my middle name. It was also my grandmother\u2019s name. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s your latest news? A single? A tour?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Axel :<\/strong> We\u2019re in the middle of a tour and our first EP was just released. So we&#8217;re sharing our first tracks with the world. The tour runs until the beginning of October and features around twenty shows all over France. The EP has 5 tracks. We produced these tracks in Nantes, with the local producers who worked with Zaho de Sagazan and Mademoiselle K. Our EP is 100% made in Nantes! Our first single is called \u201cBizarre\u201d. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Michelle &amp; Les Gar\u00e7ons - Bizarre (Clip Officiel)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4S8vVR0cPJQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong>Speaking of local, you&#8217;re originally from Angers, but you live in Nantes. So you know the area well. What would you recommend to a first-time visitor to the region? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Axel :<\/strong> You definitely have to check out the Machines of the Isle of Nantes! For a drink and some live music, I\u2019d recommend Lune Froide. There\u2019s also the clubs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/decadansenantes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">D\u00e9cadanse<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leferrailleur.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Le F\u00e9railleur<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/volare.volotea.com\/en\/es\/cities\/nantes\/nantes-by-bike\/\">Go for a bike ride<\/a> on the banks of Loire or along the river Erdre. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Louise :<\/strong> In Anger, we\u2019d recommend coffee at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/exitmusicforadrink\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Exit Music For A Drink<\/a>, a record store and caf\u00e9 with a wide choice of vinyl LPs. Then take in a concert at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jokerspubangers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joker&#8217;s Pub<\/a>, caf\u00e9-concert club in Angers with a great line up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If tomorrow you could take a holiday to one of Volotea&#8217;s destinations, where would you go and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Louise :<\/strong>  Corsica!
