You\u2019ll find the street lined with wooden stalls displaying gift options, as well as events and creative workshops for the younger ones and performances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Christmas Market (organised by Sc\u00ece Eventi) in the \ud835\udde3\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude07\ud835\ude07\ud835\uddee \ud835\udde8\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddee\u0300 <strong>from<\/strong> \ud835\udfee\ud835\udff0 \ud835\udde1\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddef<strong>er<\/strong> <strong>to <\/strong>\ud835\udfee\ud835\udff5 <strong>December<\/strong>. An ideal opportunity to soak up the magical festive atmosphere and to discover the finest products handcrafted in Sicily. The top Cirque du Soleil performers from all over the world will be displaying their artistry in four performances of the new show TILT.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Enjoy a Bridgerton-style Christmas at Palazzo Biscari<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re a fan of Bridgerton-style stately homes, then don\u2019t miss the Magico Natale event on 17\/18\/19 December at Palazzo Biscari in Catania. It\u2019s incredibly charming, as it\u2019s set inside a <strong>volcanic cave.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just a few kilometres outside of Catania, in the village of Santa Maria la Scala (Acireale), there\u2019s a small church called <strong>Santa Maria della Neve<\/strong>, known locally as \u201cA Rutta\u201d (the cave). This little church houses Acireale\u2019s 18th century Nativity scene. The volcanic cave is very reminiscent of the Bethlehem Cave, and so in 1741 a priest decided to set up a life-size Nativity scene inside it.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Have fun in the snow on Mount Etna<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Can you really ski in Sicily? Does it really snow there? It may seem strange but the answer is yes! The ski resort has restaurants, refuges where you can also stay overnight, and shops where you can hire snow and ski equipment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N.B.: the ski slopes may not necessarily be open in time for Christmas, so please check this <a href=\"https:\/\/pianoprovenzana.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Non-skiers can also spend a day in the snow by starting in Nicolosi and then making their way to the <strong>Rifugio Sapienza<\/strong>. This refuge offers catering services and treks for you to enjoy a wonderful winter day, even in Sicily.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Nicolosi there\u2019s also a shop where it\u2019s Christmas all year round! They can be visited this year from 1 December 2023 until 8 January 2024.
